Little kids keep Monster fish and lizards?

Am I not correct by stating you are a younger kid(under 18)? when did YOU start keeping fish or reptiles? I know my first tank I had I was very young, and always had a tank in my room as a baby. If I didn't then I most likely would not be a passionate about fish keeping as I am now. granted we all keep learning every day, and that is why forums like this are key to the hobby.
Yes... I am 16 in a minty... I already states when I started keeping!

Whata fun thread.. i gotta chime in here...
Though the OP comes across kind of jealous and I don't agree with their statements, I have to agree with the difficulty of watching people (anyone, kids or adults) not properly care for animals.
I have always had pets so I always had friends into animals.. and some of them were the worst mass-murderers in history and still are. I stopped hanging out with some of them it was so bad.. told them they're not friends any more because of their continuing ignorance. Not only would they ignore sound advice, they would ignore their own history of killing everything they ever brought home.
So yeah, after watching their parents buy them their 5-6 aro and still try to keep it in a small tank with tap water and never listening to basic advise on how to keep these animals alive... and then repeat this for another hundred fish, throw in some birds because you know, he just felt like he wanted a bird that day, you tend to despise the entire house hold. A years tally for this idiot would be hundreds of fish, dozens of wild caught animals.. reptiles mostly..and a hundred other assorted small animals and would he still never show the slightest interest in learning the basics of keeping things alive much less happy and healthy.
Fast forward 30 years and this same moron is even worse... still hadn't learned a thing but still loves killing animals sooo much he opened a reptile store in town.
Some people don't deserve their existence... the idea of this reject spreading his idiocy makes me not able to wait to rejoice his last breath.
