I hear all this talk about variety. And i was wondering what kind of variety would a apex predator eat in the wild? And to make this question specific lets try to concentrate on a apex predator from 2 different area's. So lets use

Payara - or hydrolycus armatus specifically

GATF - or goliath african tiger fish specifically

These are 2 apex or top level predators from 2 different area's of the world. And they both have highly obvious evolutionary adaptations to make them the top level predator in there specific area. So what kind of variety would they consume in the wild?
i dont have much knowledge of those fish, i would assume you would have to be very knowledgible to choose appropiate feeders.
but for the payara im pretty sure it eats piranha. but i would assume it would also eat a mixture like the person above me posted.

ive also heard guppies and obviously goldies a nutritionally poor and shouldnt be feed to the payara

again a varied diet is best..
if u can catch feeders go for it..
all i am saying is LFS keep feeders in horrible conditions and have parasitess.!
which means ur prize fish gets the parasite too!
all i am saying is avoid goldfish feeders... NOT LIVE IN GENERAL

That's not what you were saying at the star of this post. I belive you said something to the effect of *It doesn't matter what you think, live food=parasites. If you don't use massivore your fish will die. Feed massivore to your goldfish....its good for them to. Massivore, Massivore, Massivore

I didn't miss much of what you were shouting....I think that mASSivore sums up most of what you have to say, other than backtracking after a point hits your head that makes sense

true story: the true origin and untold story of loch ness!
a resident of the area once had a bag of massivore and accidentally dropped some into the lake, a simple creature ate a bite and BOOM within hours grew to monsterous proportions. the locals named this creature nessie... in a related story of the pellets powers scientists have also come to believe megalodon still lurks deep within the ocean but surfaces only to feast upon massivore

...i've seen firsthand that fish grow faster live/frozen foods than they do on pellets/flakes.

I've also seen my friends grow big very fast on McDonald's food, although I highly doubt they are healthier.:nilly:

Its not nonsense. The only thing that you have stuck with through this entire post is that you like massivore. You have flip flopped on wether its all feeders, just goldfish, or just lfs feeders that are bad. Your post have been less information and more commercial, commenting negatively on post which don't mirror your opinions. Look back to my first post here. I didn't rag pellets, I said I use them. You just jumped on me because I didn't mention parasites. Pellets have their purpose, but that purpose isn't to be used as their whole diet no matter what hakari says
