i agree lupin ^..
but honestly lupin what do you think is healthier and better as a staple diet?

I AM NOT WORSHIPING MASSIVORE
my fish are! ;)
O and lets not forget mice people
Did you mean staple, or stable?
Fish should not be fed mice... That's just wrong on way to many levels.

EDIT: Insects you shouldn't have to worry about disease unless your feeding a blood filled mosquito. ;)
Turn on the backdoor light at night, then collect moths! My oscar NOMS the moths.

ok agreed but massivore still beats live..

i meant staple.. like staple diet

In what way?

A diet of healthy, gutloaded, not-cold-water-cyprinid feeders should be just as good as a diet of nothing but massivore.

Not really healthier. Maybe an all massivore is healthier than an all feeder but it's not healthier than an all live. Insects and worms are PACKED with protein, and the fish love them.

wow there's been a lot of heated discussion since i last posted here lol...

anyways... i said it at the beginning of this thread and ill say it again.

variety is key people!!!

you cant just feed feeders.... unless its a fish that only accepts feeders like a China stingray or some odd uncommon fish like that..

pellets will always be more superior to feeders no matter how much we argue about it..

pellets are designed to fit the fishes dietary needs more..hands down... period.. do not pass go, do not collect $200, go straight to jail..

however, like mentioned before if the feeders are guaranteed healthy, then there's nothing wrong with feeding them too.

its all about moderation!

pellets/flake food should be a staple food if the fish will eat it... if not go with feeders...

i like earthworms the best! ahahhaaha now lets start debating earthworms!!

ill start!

so far i have breed about 200 in my shed and i feed them to my rays and bichirs every other week. they adore them!! their also very rich and nutrients because of the earthworms own diet. hahaha:ROFL:it begins!!

thanks, but i wouldn't go as far as to say im the smartest individual on here.

i know my stuff and have done my homework!

however, the people who are smarter then me would say that same thing. hands down.

there's nothing wrong with the occasional healthy feeder. u just got to look at the big picture.
