Ok so you have one animal die and right away you want another? It doesn't seem like you care much about them. Leopard geckos like about 15-20 years. Now if yours wasn't that old(I seriously doubt it) you should look into what you did wrong before even thinking about getting else..

As for the rest of you, shame on you for mentionaing hard to keep animals when he can't even take care of a beiginner animal.

Also baller34ig, if you need help choosing, you shouldn't have one. Look up animals yourself. Once you have found one you like we will be happy to discuss it here.
I know what your getting at here but it came out pretty harsh. DOnt forget we would rather ppl come here and even though they may ask things they could look up themselves,at least they are asking us and not placing another bearded in a goldfish bowl.Just dont want ppl to be intimidated by the forum.

+1 for a crested gecko, I got one recently. She is so awesome. They're temp should be in the 70's and can't get over 80. You can also feed Repashy Crested Gecko Diet. Mine tolerates handling fairly well, after having for 3 weeks, she will sit on my hand for awhile. Also, there is plenty of different morphs.

I knida agree with the above comments to find what caused the death of your gecko. They are very durable lizards and it's unusal for one to die especially since they can live two decades. Another leopard gecko would be a good choice. I wouldn't try chameleons yet even veileds are tricky to keep just right. Especially if you want something to handle. IF you want something bigger... Bearded dragons, blue tongue skinks, fat tailed geckos, maybe day geckos, snakes like ball pythons and corn snakes, crested geckos, are all forgiving animals.

yes if you want bigger then my BTS has been the coolest reptile Ive ever had.As far as the leos I used to breed them,I gotta say that Im nt sure what happened but I had a few that got skinny and stopped eating then died.If I had all the info nowdays then I would have looked into deworming treatments and such but now is too late, just saying sometimes its not the husbandry but could even be something like pesticides in the house, cig smoke, anything un natural.

Thanks for all the info. I talked to a friend and he believes that my gecko had a an intestinal problem because like someone said above she just stopped eating. It wasnt impaction because i dont us a substrate that he could have eaten. The death was very sudden. The afternoon i found him dead caught me by surprise because that morning like he always does he came out when i turned his morning light on and stood on his rock when i spray his tank.

not a gecko but bearded dragons have great personalities.
they do but they need alot more attention than a crested gecko or a BTS,plus they need the extra uvb lighting.Mush more regular feeding of insects too.Not saying I dont like them because I love them and bread them for several years but they do require a little more.

BTS need uvb too... and I agree baby beardies can eat but the adult s don't eat all that much.

keep in mind that tokays are known for being loud
