When I read this in the newspaper I really had mixed feelings towards it. On 1 hand, accidents do happen, and just because he had a small amount of drugs in his home doesnt make him a less responsible owner.
IMO accidents happen, The most experienced snake handlers have mostly all been bitten at some point in their careers. It comes with the territory, and its a risky pet to own. He might have just been trying to feed it or clean the cage and it suprisingely struck.
If you want to be mad at anybody, be mad and the media. They milk every horrible sounding detail out of the story, exactly the same they have done with pitbulls.
Yeah, so what if he had a couple beers in his fridge and and some pariphinalia, who hasnt at one point or another?
What I dont get is why the snake was taken away from him? Did he do anything illegal? I know hes going to have 1 hell of a medical bill. Possession charges will probably be thrown out due to unlawful seizure.
