i dont have to ask. i know how to raise them, where each species is found, water chemistry for them (except for cubans since they are very sensitive to water fluctuations), what they eat, how they eat. and alot of other stuff. i may not be exactly right but i know it well enough to give people straight facts.

noone is tryng to ruin your day. it just annoys us when people try to help by giving inaccurate info that we all know is not true. these threads always end up flame threads with no point. so like richard said, just stop.. do some RESEARCH.. and then when someone asks a question help them if you can. just because you raise them doesnt mean you know everything about them.

If you where actually honest and just wanted to give your experience with raising these fish then you just should have done so and left questions to be clarifications on your part to the methodology you have used. This would have actually been potentially useful to someone. Could have sparked interesting discussion and would have then turned into an interesting thread...
Instead you have this "ask me questions" stuff that is beyond absurd... You have limited experience with gar and fishkeeping in general. You not in the position to say "ask me questions" when you yourself have a ways to go.
