FRT? those are pretty amazing. shame there are not more around. I would like to get my hands on that Trop gar in Ohio but it is already 18" and I would feel bad sticking it in a 125 for a year or so because I dont have the money to snag up a bigger one right now.

Your stock list sounds pretty awesome, cant wait to see it unfold. I find myself getting impatient waiting on fish to grow though.

Yeah I was working on that $100 trop in Ohio myself. What a killer deal, hope it gets a good home. Went back and forth with the seller trying to figure out how to get it to me. First his shipper backed out, then I got nervous about keeping such a big gar in a 150 for 2-3 weeks, so I sort of backed down, and so forth. Just wasn't in the stars I guess.

And thank you for this comment! The girly and I have been setting this tank up in our minds for years. I wish we could have gone bigger than 500g but with the mortgage you've got to choose your battles. The tank will be almost entirely primitive fish, plus the primitive aquatic turtle. The only non-ancients will be my two pims simply because they will eventually need the tank space. I'm hoping the tank will turn out to be something really special, can't wait to share it.

All I will need is the elusive Cuban Gar... but that is being taken care of. I expect to have one by September... ;)

Nice longnose gars! It really makes me sad to see that LNG are so common to you guys and so rare just to find one in S'pore...:(

I must have gotten confused, cos I didn't see any pics with all three gars inside, and mistook their identities. My all-time favourite gar as well, but sadly, they aren't available in my country - yet.

they were avail here long ago..just not anymore:(

They're not even that common here (native I know, but not available for sale usually), this has just been a lucky year for them it seems.
