just got done designing a stand wat do u guys think good engouph i have 2x6s going on top and bottom and i have all 4x4s making the rest of it all the support i am thinking about putting some nice trim around the bottom of the tank and then mayb a canopy

I would back away from the 4X4's because they are more prone to twisting. Instead, put two 2X4's together that way both of them would have to twist for something to happen. Also, you don't need all the vertical pieces between the corners. The force of the tank is down and really on the corners and outside edges of the tank. Here is a design I came up with my 180-220 I was going to get and if you want to modify that you can somewhat. Let me know if you need anything, i'm building 2 right now myself.

and i got one more question how high should i make the stand i was thinking about 25inches but idk

I made mine tall....I like to be able to stand there and look at my tank and not have to bend over to look at it. Mine are 40" high. The Canopy is still up in the air in how i'm going to do it. I'm getting my first 135 next week and going to base the canopy off that, since I can get an exact measurement with the black trim and all. My stands are probably a little overkill also, but I know they are not going anywhere I'll get some more pics up as I go to try and help you as much as possible if you need it.

updates
just picked up 2 ac110 for only 50 and at the lfs another 30 for all the media the sponge, one thing for amonia removal and one carbon and the bio max
i also picked up 2 400watt hydor theo heaters at petsmart for 28 cuz they price matched dr.fosterandsmith got some 3 sheets of acrylic and cut them to fit the tops. now all i need is to make the stand, lights, gravel and the fx5

started the stand decided to make it 30inches high so far got top and bottom frame done and got a few of the inner 2x4s for the supports the pics r of the top and bottom ontop of each other and how im gonna start with the supports taking a brake now cuz im hungry as hell lol

almost done with the stand just gotta finish srewing some of the things together. heres a few pics 2marro i am gonna get some 3/4 plywood for the top,bottom and dont know wat im gonna use for the sides but in the end the sides and front r gonna b stained a dark cherry and the 2 cabinet doors might be a lighter color or mayb darker so it can have some contrast
