yep over here they r called royals, unsure y coz obv they curl in to balls lol.
as for the 'OMG another ball' comment....its my first snake...u want me to come on with a yellow anaconda and say 'hey i just got this, no clue how to look after it as its my FIRST snake'
NO, so i got a nice lil straight forward royal that i no i can look after and provide for and have done research on
i gave him his first mouse today, which so far he hasnt eaten, hes rteally active and showing interest but hes not striking which is apparently what hes been doing so far.
but im not too worried, hes only been home a few days.

In Europe they call Ball Pythons "Royal Pythons". Don't ask me why. I know, they're crazy.
Perhaps because the scientific name is Python regius?

What's wrong with feeding by hand? I feed over 40 snakes a week by hand and haven't gotten tagged yet...
If he's not eating just give him time - young ball pythons are pretty notorious for being finicky feeders.
