That's a common snapper. Grows quick as lightning and will eat anything that moves. Very active and good hunters. You will need a 350+ gallon tank to house it for life.

But he thinks a 180g should be fine.

Thats what you said about your Oscars. I would drop money that they are now stunted.

They are actually growing fine and are looking great. Do you know how many Oscars reach full size in 55 gallon or smaller tanks? People everywhere keep them in tanks smaller or exactly 55 gallons. I gurantee they won't be stunted in a 55. Although they aren't going to be in a 55 much longer

Not all oscars reached their full sized in smaller tanks. I bet you more oscars died in smaller tank than the ones reached their full sized in the smaller tanks but I doubt it that they are more than 10".

Not many do, its doable but only by people know who know how to do it. And kinda big is full grown and doesn't mean its not stunted.

Yes I've seen a full grown unstunted oscar in a 39 bow front. I'll see if my uncle has any pics. He had it about 5 years ago. It grew up from about 1.5" to full grown in that tank.

Hey sir, you are so wrong! 55gal is perfect for the turtle!

55 gallons is no where near the size for a snapping turtle. I know ur just being sarcastic but still. I know how big these things get. You may think I'm a stupid little kid but I know more than you would expect about turtles. A 180 would house a snapping turtle for a long time and possibly life depending on its size. Also depending on the dimensions. But anything about 6' long and 3' wide should do the job. Which I believe is standard 180 dimensions. But, these guys should be in ponds. I'm not the first person to grow out a turtle for a pond or possible sale. So don't act surprised. I know what I'm doing.

How big is this "full grown unstunted" oscar?

Small spaces and overfeeding takes out so many fish, its sad.

How can a fish that gets 12" or more in a 12" wide tank comfortable? Jw. Yes there is worse but don't be that demographic, I have way more respect for someone that under stocks.
