I know..
ha but look at those glass knives.
yeah my lfs has tetra's for a buck..
when I had all my ropes..
I bought like 9 of them.
yesterday I had one.
didn't see him today
they have also eaten 2 silver tips
a glo lite
and I have to buy feeder guppies everyweek usually around twenty
I've NEVER seen my ropefish eat... ever ever..
but my senegal.. he eats ANYTHING I THROW IN
way to much to be physicly possible.

so leapard
butterfly
ropes
senegar bichir
I'm thinking black african knife or too.. they like other knives.. one of the few.
how many of each?
and how much do they usually cost butterflies and leaparda that is.
anything else I should get?

Unless you don't mind your tetras being snacks, I would suggest not getting them. I like the idea of staying with African fish. The rams will probably get eaten by the bichirs after a while, but who knows? You'll probably have another tank by then. LOL
For the Ctenopoma, Butterfly fish, and bichirs it would be best if they were in groups of at least 3. My first Ctenopoma wouldn't come out of hiding before I got the other 2 and my the first Butterfly I got wasn't as active as he is now - there are 5 Butterflies altogether and some of them will take moths from my fingers.
As for pricing, I bought my Ctenopomas at Petsmart for $9.99, I think. The Butterfly fish were about $6.00 at Wal-mart. Of course, prices will vary depending on the store. If you want to go with tetra-like fish, I think Congo tetras or Giant Danios will get too big to get eaten.
Sounds like you're going to have a pretty full tank! These fish are a lot of fun though. You won't be dissapointed!

would't that be too many?
as far as the leapards and the butterflies?
I doubt my rams would get eaten he's pretty boss.. plus he's german he can stand his ground.
yeah right now I have 2 giant danios
and I will probably get 3 more ropes bringing the total to 4
and maybe another senegal. mine seems to be fine on his own.
