Looking for captive Wels catfish

Hello folks!

We here at National Geographic Television are looking for a captive Wels catfish for our upcoming episode for our series "Hooked/Monster Fish."

If anyone knows of any Wels catfish in aquariums (or better yet, if somone on this site is keeping one!) please let us know!!

A vendor here was selling some a few months ago,I was tempted.
 
Wait a minute,you say you are with NatGeo and you guys cant track one down with your resources?
 
I bet you its spam. I've seen several of these comments were someone say they are with some company or what not and want to photograph certain fish. I've even replied to one of them and no response. Fake unless this person actually posts more
 
eh i think its real, my dad was lookin at getting me a job with them over the summer and one of their main offices is in DC and one of the dudes he was trying to hook me up with was named habib
 
This is how our resources work :) We reach out to people to find information. Often it is not through for forums, but every now and then it is. So if anyone knows of any Wels catfish, please let me know.

We have an aquarium in the UK willing to help, but we are still looking for one in Germany, Spain, or the U.S. if possible.

ok he might be legit since he actually replied.

Habibman, there are several people in the US that have wels :)
 
Okay then,in that case contact Jeff Rapps of Tangled up in Cichlids.He is the last vendor I've seen to have them.
