I sent this message via email to the store:

"A friend of mine named Kevin recently put down a deposit at your store for a custom aquarium, over two thousand dollars. He stated that you told him an employee stole the money. When you take a deposit on a for profit sale, you are liable to deliver the goods or refund the deposit. Your store will be boycotted until you refund the deposit or deliver the goods. Every interested party I know will hear about this until the situation is resolved."

Any member that is willing to help should send an email of similar substance to: aquart1@aol.com

You should not mention where you live. They will assume you are local.

Please help your fellow member out.
sent ...but I change it up a little. Don't worry I kept it clean and civil

First send them a registered letter of demand. Then contact a lawyer. You can sue for the cost of the lawyer along with the money for the tank. Often times when a company has been found to have acted in an "egregious manner" there can be punitive damages. So the cost of your lawyer, a full refund, and a sum to punish the company which will go to you. I have a pre-paid legal service I use.17 bucks a month and worth every penny. I've gotten many a refund that I normally would have had to write off. A letter from a lawyer gets results. I think you should take this story to the other fish forums, have the owners of the forums send emails.

Get in touch with me, I want to help.

Glenn I'm not sure how you came to dig this old thread up but I am now curious to how this situation turned out.
