i'm extremely confused aswell, if i had to bet on it i'd say Li's never kept one mabey never even seen one in person.

No he's been to Shark Aquarium and all around the world so he's seen one I'm sure.. but 99% sure he doesn't own one..

i've never vistied Sa, does george always have one on display i thought his big one was sold?

i think li has been to shark aquarium so he's probably seen one there but not sure if he keeps one. he has a million fish it seems.

XR, i take it George's lacerdae wasn't a lacerdae?

ha! george can be brief, yes. i've dealt with him a couple of times and he always got me my fish.

Nobody thus far has been able to give me an answer as to why these fish are so hard to come by and never at sizes of 3" to 4"...It has to be location,,Rarity in the wild,,small fry batches or difficulty to catch...

I found out alot about my holy grail fish (hydrolycus armatus) not from visiting fish keeping sites, but from browsing fishing sites! Try google searching the latin name, common name, and local name of aimara with the word fishing and you should find several websites of guide services of these fish. That should give you an idea of their range and population. For example if the guide says that they garuntee five fish a day that means its a rather common fish.

Also Id like to point out that not long ago it seemed every one was saying armatus were only found in Vinny. Well when I looked at armatus fishing sites I found that they were being caught in Vinny, Brazil, Guyana, Suriname, Columbia, Peru, and what I think is the most interesting..Bolivia along side dorado! Baisically what Im trying to say is, you never know what youll find when you go through a different route to look for it.
