i think i’m ok with $1k - maybe the local aquarium install company will come back with a bid.... i’ve gotten crickets so far....

sadly i live on a hill -

the pink arrow is the path we took with the 625g -

the yellow arrow would have to take out a window....

the front topography is easy until backyard...

Got it. The biggest issue imo is gonna be the grade from the curb. 900 lbs tough to get moving up a hill. It sounds to me like you would want to try the pink path as that would lead right to the back door, but if you have a clear path through your house for a 12' tank to maneuver you might try the front.

Whichever way you try it, consider renting an electric pallet jack, maybe even two. You would need the motor just to get the thing moving.

Other than that I really support fishhead0103666 fishhead0103666 idea of the moving plywood platforms in conjunction with several dollies and the pallet jack. Three 4x8 plywood panels, keep leapfrogging them...a simple lumber ramp to slide it up stairs and into the house itself...

Looks daunting and will definitely cost some bucks but certainly doable imo.

On the bright side you could save on the costs of future moves by simply saving the plywood, no use letting a dozen or two pieces of good plywood go to waste, simply pick them back up and store them for whenever a new tank is acquired or an old tank needs to be removed.

ahh man, if it were level and paved....

the basement is down stairs from front door level....

if it were 24” width i could roll it through my garage into place...

Seriously though after reading through this thread. I would consider the acrylic tanks to be the best option a good portion of monster fish can live happily in a 8x3 aquarium and they can be moved around fairly easily being about 400 pounds. I would consider possibly shutting down some of your smaller systems and using that real estate for the larger tanks.

that’s what the plan is - i’ll keep a 75g in qt closet... and sell / decommission the others

i think 3-4 tanks - and probably my 150g

625g -
something -10’ - 2021
and something in a 12’ footprint - now

ahh man.... 8’er $300 more than 6’er...

looks like an 8’er and 4’er is cheapest due to waste.... 6’ers more versatile....

i figure i could keep my aimara in a 6’ -280g for some time... and use the other one for 2-4 of the smaller bass or black arow and sailfin if bass get too rowdy....

still waiting on the 12’ quote to bring tank in....

gonna leave my DIY skills to outside.... if a diy tank leaked in here... wife would have my ass....

If 2’ more of tank is only $300 more than I see no reason to not do it, double stack them and do that 4’ tank.
