The tank comes with filters, lights, and pumps. The seller claimed it was everything you would need to get started.
I have a stand for my 55. I have another 55 in storage that has a cracked center brace. I have no place to set up a large tank right now. I am going to look at shipping containers and possibly get a 10 foot one. I filled the top 40 and i did another water change on the bottom 40. The bottom 40 looks clear and i may get a calico lionhead for it. I have a small orange lionhead and a full grown white and orange ranchu in the tank. I am going to LiveFishDirect tomorrow. They mainly sell fish online but are open to the public on saturdays until 6 PM. They do not have much goldfish, but they do have cichlids and that is what i will probably put in the top 40. All of my tanks got water changed today. I have to get the pond filter working properly because the water is green.
It is a 160 mile drive to get that 55 gallon stand. If i was up there, i would also get the $20 tank with stand but they aren't responding to my emails. I probably won't get either. I may get the 150, or I may keep looking.
I'm not very sure on where you live, and I wouldn't ask you to share either. I just searched salt lake city.
I think goldfish are the reason you were getting bored of the hobby. Those fish have little to no personality.
