lost another damn arowana

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
don't give up. no 1 killer of arowanas are them jumping out of their tank. seal any hole that you can find with duct tape or cover it with heavy items.

young arowanas jump out thru small openings or holes that they can find. no hole is small for them.

adult arowanas can knock over anything that you use to cover your tank. so make sure it's heavy enuff to prevent them from knocking it over and jumping out.

Im really sorry about your Aros. I almost lost mine @ like 5:30am luckyly i woke up to use bathroom and then i was trying to fall alseep and i heard him jump twice then a third time and then a thud :jaw-dropp I couldnt find the light so i was freaking. then i grabbed a net the was way to small for him and i couldnt find my other one. i eventually got him back in and now i weigh the top down with a 24oz arrowhead bottle full of nickles :D that happened about a month ago and he has grown an inch since then he is up to 9 inch now. Im soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy that he is still alive :woot:

u r lucky bro..

I used to use a bar clamp on my eel tank after he went walking a couple times. I don't know about aros but if an eel is long enough they will brace against the bottom of the tank and push the lid up, mine was strong enough to shift a couple of bricks.

well I got a third one about 8" but he's really ugly. he has perfect fins, eyes, and barbels but no color at all.. they must have been feeding him just feeders. It really sucks to loose one that had such great potential and go to one that I have no idea how he'll turn out.. thanks for all the comments though

Hey DeLgAdO, I really like you tank. Have any larger pictures of it?
