some of us use bricks or custome make a lock to prevent our aros from knocking over the cover. :)

think books are also good. i've used them before. :)
 
when I use bricks I sew them into terri cloth bags to prevent scratching and lessen the chance of me breaking something with them. I no longer use books after water damaging a couple. Bar clamps work but are ugly. there are small latches available in good hardware stores and cabinetry shops that look like a small hinge, they work very well and are unobtrusive. they can be attached with glue.
