Lowering Ph

 • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i have a ? my ph is about 7.4 and my alkalinity is betwwen 2.9 and 3.5 how do i fixs this i didnt start a new thread just cuz this was was already started about ph so i figured it would be ok thanks in advance
Well now im kinda wishing you did, cause once you can overlook it as an oversight, but twice - thats just plain retarded.:repost:lol
Id change it, but its reflective of life, a trail of mistakes 'is' just as much the journey, so why erase a path of understanding. Ok, so that was alittle deep, unfortunate side effect from writing the 4th instalment of the matrix.

Once your set-up, Lets look at KH first. Using real samples from contributes of your own tank will allow you to grasp the handle on whats going on like you said. GH we'll visit after. Both are integrated, however GH is reflective of a bigger box. Besides, you can break it down even further into respective element tests if you wanted to.
Deep indeed, why erase that path? i thought there were only three matrices? you wrote a new? send me the script i'll play neo and take the green pill hahaha

yes i am interested in learning about kh and gh, f the element tests i just care about the molecules baby

There are plenty of tests, Kh is the standard LFS readily available option.
We'll work it off what ever you get.

ok im very new at this im trying to get my sw tank ready for fish and im not to sure where my akl should be i figured 3.4 was high so that means its not good or is it may be u could clear it up for me

adrian, im happy to help, however we're not going to be able to cover this entire subject here.
A) you've just started saltwater
B) salt water element relationships are alot more complex and intergrated to the entire picture.
c) you will experience a roller coaster ride as various stages progress on your tank.
D) different levels of needed trace elements in your system will fluctuate, making something like your asking, specific alk range, not impossible, but extemely difficult to advise on or track at face value.

My suggestions...
Look in the salt water forum sections
Research what constitutes natral sea water, then print that out as your starting guide.
Research Randy Holmes Farley on all subject matter relating.

This will get you on the right track & will force feed you the background info you need.

THANKS VSPEC UR RIGHT ABOUT IT BE A ROLLERCOSTER AND I THINK I HAVE IT JUST RIGHT TO INTRODUCE FISH ITS BEEN RUNNING FOR ABOUT A MONTH ALREADY IT SEEMS TO BE DOING GOOD TANKS FOR POINTING ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION

someone works with programs using caps on..lol

Anytime bud., call me over if you start a thread, most pits falls can be avoided if your willing to listen & research a path that your fellow knowlegable aquarius lay out. Cause more often than not, we were the one's making the mistakes first hand & paying for it dearly. :(
