Luckyiest day in my life

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
For silvers it is possible to see some difference in sex. The males do have a larger mouth (if you can get a look inside go for, not recommended), they also have longer anal fins, and grow a decent amount faster. When fully grown the females are shorter and are quite a bit fatter and heighth wise shorter. The lower jaw should not extend above the upper lip. This is an overbite, and a sign of even more imbreeding. If you have this good luck with any prevention of drop eye.

Anyway, Nice pick up. Get pics up soon

how big is ur pacu? if u have the space, u can get a huge rubbermaid container for it. or build a pond. it will get huge and be a real prob. its just how they are. they swim constantly so a large pond or rubbermaid container that is as wide as it is lond would be nice so it can swim constantly in a circle w/o having to slow down.

only 10 inch

feeding your arowana only feeders = droopy eye.

if you give them like shrimp and insects, and pellets, they wont get droopy eye.
if he already has droopy eye, then i dunno.
hate to cotradict but this is false info. Drop eye has not been completely diagnosed but feeders are not it. I have never fed a feeder to my aros and 2 out of the 3 i have owned have gotten drop eye.. I don't overfeed or feed fatty foods and my aro eats off the top. My theory is genetics and imbreeding cause drop eye. thats why blacks and asians very rairly get drop eye.
