Lucycstic Tiger Shovel Nose Update.

Yeah, I've seen it twice so far. Really freaked me out the first time, then it happened to my TSN, and I freaked again. The pattern on my TSN dissappeared completely, and he was just a patternless grey TSN for about a week then they came back. Water tested fine. I can't really figure it out. Could be diet, but not sure. This particular TSN will only eat shrimp, and that's all the Big Boy was eating at the time as well. My other fish all eat fillets, hot dogs, pellets, and shrimp. These two are just picky sometimes.

I personally think its colder water has something to do it. When these were in a cold water pond they changed but when throw into seperate tanks they reverted back to normal. I'm actually trying to sell mine but no ones interested.

That is interesting about the temp. My tank stays at 84-88 deg. It is regularly 86.7 a majority of the time. But I do 2x a week WC a 75% so this fluctuation of temp could be during this time, and because it is done two out of seven days could very well be a scenario I will have to entertain. But if that is the case wouldn't this happen on a more frequent basis? Thanks for sharing.

Have you asked Bass Lover I know he was interested in mine at one time.

I mainly only feed shrimp and feeders to this tank because of the P's. I also feed Night Crawlers and Mussels for the Sting Ray. Of course the Leucystic/Leucistic eats what ever does not get eating or spit out. I also feed them the catch of the day after fishing trips so who's to say what it may be.

Datnoid I am curious. Are yours Xanthic or Leucistic? I have never seen Xanthic before that is the only reason I ask. I know for a fact that my TSN never had any color ever. I thought yours were very interesting that they had color and lost it. That makes me wonder if there totally different dimorphisms.
