Thank you my brother! I just try to do what I can to share my passion with the hobby. It makes me quite happy to see that it's actually appreciated. :)

Thank you! I've been out of the Army for three and a half years, and all the VA has bothered to do so far is acknowledge I exist about a year ago. It's... frustrating, especially since I have cancer and could really use their help.

My old jur would perch on my hand and was pretty fearless too. She wasn't nearly as pretty as this one, though.

Thanks brother! The only thing missing now for this dream to come true is a couple of the smaller payara species holding down the midwater area and this is gonna be a #goals kinda tank!


Also, since this is a growout thread, here's an obligatory cell phone pic. Raw, unfiltered, under saturated and dramatically overexposed; the only change is a crop to focus on the fish. :)

Lol no. The dollars started nipping at both of the gift fish, so I contacted the LFS I got them from and explained the situation with the gifts and what's happening. He agreed to take them back and give me a store credit. :)

Hi nice cat I have one growing and have had it since last September it's grown from 8" to around 12-13"

Mine was sold to me as a flash zebra juruense with no offence intended I would say yours is a juruense as the colour on mine is completely different

But I know lighting cam and other factors play a big part so am not saying yours isn't a flash it's just a totally different colour to mine

Mine always hides at the back of my tank behind the weir so it's very hard to get a good pic but at food time it starts swimming like a great white but I'm always up a ladder

All I have is this very old pic
