Thanks, thought it was just had a few doubts because wharf aquatics sold it as a hoplias spp, in the tank next to it they had one up as a hoplias malabaricus, they also had two reds and two 12 inch aimara in the past they have had blacks and gold's, just seemed strange they didn't assign a spp to it. Got it cheaper then the one they had advertised as a mala though.Mala
Yeah, the ones from South Argentina are sub tropical, temps drop down to 12 degrees and they sort of hibernate over winter, yet live longer and still reach 24inch all the way up to the equator, big range for one spp.He does look completely different from mine tho, so much variation in the common wolf I guess. Look at any wild species tho, Oscars for example... Wild Oscars look completely different to each other depending on catch location.
I'm guessing commons have the largest range, this means the largest diversity I guess.
