On another note, what is the difference between black tie and white tie?
The short answer. Black tie is very formal with strict dress code. White tie is EXTREMELY formal with a more exacting dress code and generally is only held when involving the highest level of VIP types. Such as high ranking Admirals, dignitaries and presidential types. EDIT FOR WHITE TIE: Or when your Commanding officers wife has an extremly unrealistic idea of her and her husbands status as a VIP.

put this way in fish age of other species a 10 year old Large mouth bass is equal to a 100 year old sturgeon. Altough bass are not a food fish like sturgeon are.

the postitive effects. Just like in the rainforest when a large tree falls or dies, It promotes lots of growth. All the nutriants like sun and food and water that one large tree was taking can now be despiresd among many.

How on earth could this fish have been kept in a public aquarium? He was spear fishing, and transproting live a monster like that would be impossible for the average guy. Also curious as to how this fish could have helped biologist, it's not like it's the first sturgeon that they have ever seen. Sturgeon going extinct? Not where this beast was caught. Wow. There is a shortage of black bears in Texas, does that mean I can't shoot one in Alaska?

Lot of bleeding hearts for some bleeding gills.

In case you weren't aware, sturgeons are regularly kept in public aquariums. Public aquariums do have the resources. That man didn't have to transport the fish himself; he simply could have let it go and alerted the local fish and wildlife department, and they could have found it. I didn't state that species was going extinct; however, I said that old specimens are becoming incredibly rare, and it's true.
This specimen could have very well helped ichthyologists; you don't know much about zoology, do you? Scientists would have been able to perform so many studies and draw statistical data, such as what factors can help increase the lifespan of a sturgeon, and help them live longer. That would also yield a greater amount of caviar, keep in mind.

Nice strawman.

Brilliant, really.

He could have stopped stabbing the fish and let it live. One spearing doesn't kill such a behemoth. Also, he didn't have to spear the fish in the first place; he could have simply avoided killing it, and let it live. Has that occurred to you? Don't take it personally, but you simply have no argument. You resort to defending the man in a manner lacking any common sense, instead of attempting to refute my arguments.

Do you really think a spearfisherman would choose not spear a fish? That is the same idea to go to some faraway place just to turn around and gp back home when you get there. I don't know exactly what a sturgeon spear looks like but if its like a pike spear, which is like a six pronged pitch fork with barbed tips, that's a lot of big holes in a fish to let it go.
