As far as I'm know Nox-ich is is malachite green and salt it's not Methylene Blue read the lable to make sure. Yes aquarium salt and epsom salt with METH BLUE. IDK what will come out if anything but better off in the container. Just fill a container with water and dose the way I said.

Yup you are correct def malachite green so i will have to track down some meth blue then. I appreciate it and will keep you posted!

(Update) Well my backordered meth blue will be here tomorrow, So I will be trying the bath on my jag hopefully tomorrow night! He is sill doing well despite the weird stringy things after waterchanges. I ended up purchasing some gravel and everyone seems pretty relaxed and hopefully more stress free. My big guy is up all hours of the night bulldozing gravel haha.
I do have anew question after reading and researching different fish ailments I am wondering if this could be hexamite/spiro?? I ask because I came across pictures of fish with this problem releasing waste and it looks exactly like what the jag kicks out once in a while. There is no signs of pitting or erosion of the lateral line but the other symptoms are kind of there. I also know two years ago I lost a green terror to hith but no other fish showed symptoms (visible pitting) so I assumed all was ok. I guess my question is could the jag have a bad case of internal flagellates or hex/spiro? Maybe those are the white things he is spitting up? Also I wanted to thank everyone for the help esp aquanero I would still be lost if not for all your help!

Oh and one more thing I am pretty sure its not camallanus everyone besides the occasional twitch/flash has been themselves and never lost their appetite. They also have full bellies not sunk at all. The jag is the only one who has a sunken stomach although he does surprise me some days and just chews and spits his food everywhere and others he eats his pellets mess free (minis are the one he likes, weird for a fourteen inch fish) or eats lke ten jumbo krills lol. Sorry for the long post just wanted to fill everyone in and ask a few questions! Thanks!

My festae had that clear white stringy poop. I soaked pellets (or freeze dried food) in an Epsom salt solution until saturated, using a pipette to soak every 5-10 minutes until it wouldn't take anymore. (3/4 teaspoon of Epsom salt with 1/2 cup of distilled water). Fed that exclusively for 5 days and it went away.

If the Jag isn't eating, you'll have to use a pipette with an air tubing on the end and slowly squirt the solution about 2-3 times a day for 5 days (or until he eats). Then feed the Epsom salt food for 5 days.

It won't hurt the other fish if they eat the Epsom soaked pellets.

I will def try that rocksor! He is still eating good so I should just be able to feed him the pellets then. That's good if it wont hurt the other fish that way they are getting it as a preventative as well. Thanks a lot for the response!
