this jag is in my 60 and looks way diferent!

That's because your Jag in the 60 is a male. I don't know why people are calling that other one a male...from the pattern, it looks to me about as female as female gets.

Maybe I missed it, but how big is it (the one I believe to be female)? It can be very difficult to sex juvenile jags without venting. I remember two of mine paired off that had an almost identical "female" pattern - that is until I went away for the weekend one time and the male's pattern had completely changed. I want to say they were around 5" at that time.

Ok 8 inches and a pattern like that, I'm going to have to go out on a limb and say "definitely female". At 5 inches, the other one is a male. Maybe you can breed them? Maybe he likes his women large...

Terd knows his Parachromis.... Dont doubt him. He'll fu*k you up haha

What colour substrate is in your 60? This plays a major role in most fishes colour patterns. The fact that you have the larger Jaguar in a tank with light coloured substrate means it's colours are going to be washed out, and looking at the dark colouration of the Jag in your 60 tells me you have a darker coloured substrate in that tank.

:iagree:

Keep an eye on them when breeding and try to give them as much space to get away from one another as possible;)
