Hello during my research for fish for my 75g I found the marbled gar (not a true gar) but does anyone know anything about them? size diet temperament?

O yeah they're just spotted gar. They'll end up a bit too big for a 75g imo, also they will lose the horizontal line that cuts Tru their body.View attachment 1421148 Turns out they are part of the characin family
Honestly I wouldn't trust em with cichlids. They aren't exactly built to defend themselves from a smaller and more aggressive fish.they get 10-13 inchs could two work in a 75 with a jack dempsy?

Not really, most that I know of get upto 2ft in length. If ya want a gar look alike however ik peppermint crocodile Pike's would be a decent replacement same with belonesox. Here's pics of both. Top one is the croc, while the second is the belonesox.Really? even with the standard demensions of 18 inchs deep are their any other charicins that could work?
