Marine ich

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yeah if u get another wrasse you can QT it but the parasite is in your system, that's the problem

Best thing to do is.... set up quarantine tank place infected fish in it and wait at least 6 weeks for the ick cycle to die off in your tank.

sorry but thats the best way I have fought it numerous times

I am just wondering how to set up the QT. Also I can't even find this guy, I mean I suck at netting fish and I have been trying to get him if I see him in a good place he is just so fast and agile. Ugh :( I am really losing hope in this guy.

acquire tank, add air stone/hob filter with no carbon, add some pvc pipe, add water. thats all there is to it

Wow really? What about the good bacteria and stuff to prevent ammonia spikes? What are my other options to get rid of spirion worms then if this guy dies? Do I try another one (QTed of course) or like and urchin or something?

Well looking at him with the flashlight (because of where he was hiding) I didn't notice any ich on him, lets hope he comes out more.

with qt tanks you just do water changes to control the ammonia

I threw some more garlic soaked food in and the wrasse ate some I believe but got spooked most likely by me and went back into his rock. Now I haven't seen him since. I even moved one of the rocks onto of the rocks he goes into and I didn't see him. But in the short amount of time I did see him it looks like his ich is getting better and the rest of the livestock seems to be doing well (knock on wood!!!!)

Well he is doing better, going around the rocks and eating his garlic/ginger food. He still has a few spots but they come and go. None of the others seem to have it so far!!!!!
