Most police suck. I was an MP in the USArmy. Went to a domestic disturbance. Lady came up to her screen door with a butcher's knife. Identified myself, unsnapped my weapon holster, held my hand above my weapon. My so-called partner, jumps off the 3' high porch, and starts shaking like a little boy that's gonna pee himself. I told her to keep door closed, put her knife down on her floor, back away from it, or else I would have to draw my weapon. She said, "oh, umm, ok,..... I'm doin' that right now!" She did, I thanked God! That was the longest 45 seconds of my entire life. And my partner on that day, had been my friend. When we were back in the squad car he started apologizing. I cut him off short! I said "our friendship is over. I don't hate you, but we are not friends any more. No matter what you say or do, it's never gonna make up for what you just did!" From my experience, most of them either runaway, or go in fully charged with adrenalin pumping. Either way, mistakes are made. And I truly believe these ppl knew themselves well enough to know that they were going to screw up under pressure! These types of Cops suck!!!

There was a screen door, a butcher knife being held in a fist at shoulder height, her husband yelling out an up stairs window = saying she's crazy and she's trying to kill him = *my partner jumps off the porch, doesn't say anything, doesn't open his holster or draw his weapon.......Yes, it's over, way way over! He had been an MP for over two years before I even got to Fort Bragg. He and his friends often BS'ed about many different calls they had been on. They talked to brave. Now I was having to contemplate reporting his actions, and how I would feel if we were deployed at some point, if he would be putting us all in danger if he couldn't handle himself......How can you not understand? Have you been in our Military Service? Ballinouttacntrol, don't make me lose respect for you......

you left out some details and no i will never join the military. i don't call everyone a friend but judging from the original story i think it wouldve hurt the work relationship but not the friendship if it were a true friendship. someone being 2 faced is a whole nother story

laugh it up mike

I find it very hard to believe the police in this situation. And this is why law enforcement is so hated these days. They can't be trusted. No-knock raids are absolute garbage and put too many lives in danger.
- They first lied about being shot at. They claimed their shields were riddled with bullets. A week later, they come out and said the victim never fired, and he weapon was on safety.

- This could have happened to anybody defending their home against a potential home invasion. This is why no-knock raids are such a bad idea.

- The police refused to let paramedics come on the scene, and let the guy die slowly.

- They did not find or seize anything related to the raid.

- The wife claims she never heard them ID themselves as police. No sirens, nothing. Just bust down the door and start shooting.

- This is why I feel SWAT should have helmet cams at all times. Too many innocent people (and dogs) are killed in this brutal no-knock raids. And really, is a narcotics search enough to justify these violent raids? Seems like they should be left for those heinous crimes.
How anybody could side with police on this one is beyond me.

How about saying they F'ed up as opposed to your total blanket statement alleging that Law Enforcement can't be trusted. How about saying some members of the Pima County SWAT team can't be trusted. I have been a Police Officer for 11 years. I have Allah/God willing 19 more to go. The honor in wearing that badge and having the ability to support my family in the profession that I enjoy means a lot to me. This maybe a F'ed up warrant service. But to cover honest hard working Police Officers who have done nothing wrong in that same blanket of corruption is wrong and irresponsible. I am not one of those Officer who thinks everything Law Enforcement Officers do is right. There are some F'ed up individuals wearing badges. But that's what they are individuals and not the whole. So why not edit your sentence to say some members of the Pima County Sheriffs Office can't be trusted.

No knock search warrants have their place tactically. There are more no knock search warrants that are executed without incident than there are that are not. But when they go wrong it's usually bad and gets a lot of coverage.

You know why people look at the whole police force negatively? Because of that thin blue line, and the way ALL COPS close ranks and stick up for each other no matter what they do. Thats why.

So using that logic, we should all be allowed to drink and drive. There are more drinking and driving arrests that don't result in injuries and fatalities vs the ones that do result in deaths and injuries. Oops, but when someone gets drunk and kills someone, it gets a lot of coverage....

It is a big deal to end a life, especially over drugs. When you become a cop, you sign up for the possibility of death. They shouldn't have fired until fired upon, and any other action should've been dealt with. I also think there should be a provision for monitoring the actions of these officers.

The police are the biggest gang in the world, why did they delay an ambulance. His wife and kid watching him die that's disgraceful and completley inappropriate. The swat team knew they were wrong thtas why they put out that weak bs cover up

I disagree wholeheartedly! We should ABSOLUTELY not be allowed to drink and drive. That is not even the issue. The issue is AGAIN political & police corruption.

At least in my state (Maryland) there was NO driving under the influence/ intoxicated laws until around thirty years ago. When they adopted a B.A.C. to "constitute" intoxication, they used a very responsible 0.15 ratio. This was truly DRUNK and the individual behind the wheel was either seriously impaired, or at least had a tolerance to alcohol that 100% required medical treatment.

After discovering how much revenue was generated by the state from the police for enforcing this new law, it only took a couple years before the scum-bucket politicians determined that if 0.15 could generate such revenue that 0.12 would bring in even more revenue. Well, then it was 0.10. . . . .

Now it is NOTHING SHORT OF A SCAM! A man works all day long, heads after work to happy-hour at the local watering hole. Half the damn police force are waiting outside to do their jobs and collect revenue for the state. Joe plummer finishes his first beer and orders up a second one. As it stands now, if he does not leave the second glass half full on the bar when he goes home he is contributing to the MD DWI tax!

Total crock of MANURE! Just stop blaming the police, they are doing the job that the government has assigned them to do. I have often said, all that our pollutitions need to do to make every man, woman and child in the USA a criminal is pass a law declaring that breathing is illegal. In fact I sure do wish that they would do exactly that. At least every retarded 100% law abiding citizen would drop dead within four minutes, and every survivor would be a heinous criminal.

At that point the police and judges would have to make moral judgements and determine whether or not to continue in their current jobs. I personally would not have a low enough moral standard to enforce or interpret such a law. It is all up to the individual.

Sorry if this ticks anyone here that works for the government, police or the judicial system.

We are here on MFK where people scream bloody murder for a guppy being kept in under a 55 gallon aquarium. How do the same MFKr's feel about a human being caged in a 7' x 8' cage for puffing a doobie or drinking two beers at happy-hour?:irked:
