I wouldn't have used fx5's though. I woulda went with a 210 or similar custom wetdry. In my professional opinion fx5's run way to much water and to compensate hagen had to make the mechanical filter way to coarse. The bio on those filters are close to nada, again because the water moves way to fast through the filter. I guess its just the cool thing to have an fx5 nowadays.

I agree with you too. People so often recommend filtration they have never owned and in doing so are only talking about bio, not mech. Most of those people have never owned a TALL tank either, that complicates mechanical and "most" sumps just can't compete. You will be able to do maintenance on the filters more often because of having more than one and that will result in cleaner perams. Hats off to you my friend...
