If you set up a pickup date and time with someone and they did not show up, can you still leave marketplace feedback for them? Or did you have to actually see them to rate the transaction? I think that bailing should count as negative, but I wanted to ask.

(I didn't know where to put this, so I put it in the lounge)

Thank you!

I would say yes, if somebody is flakey and doesnt even have the respect and courtesy to call you I would like to know. BUT I would also give it some time and give the person a chance to explain themselves.....

I agree, wait though. I mean what if they got in a car accident, their not going to be worry about calling you of all people. Family first, then strangers selling fish second.:D

How many times do people on the internet not follow through with deals? LOL Everyone will have like 50 negative feedbacks for transactions that never happened.. Cause when you give them one.. They're gonna give you one.. Whether it's warranted or not..

Give him Neg. feedback. You set up a date & time and didnt show. He wasted your time, now your stuck sitting at home waiting for some jerk! Thats why i try to stay away from pick up. Its no different that winning an auction & not paying, actually worse.:irked:

Here is my take on it. Well, I was going to buy a 100 gallon tank from someone. We exchanged emails and we went back and fourth. I really did not care if he sold it to someone else since I was unsure about the purchase. I gave him a few dates for delivery and he said he could not make it so I said to myself, just to forget the deal. So I did not email him back.

It was not that I was a flake just the situation was not right. Guess you can say, people will ding me for what I did in not going forward with the deal. But it goes both ways, the seller could have bailed on me and sell the tank to someone else. I knew that was a possiblity.

A simple courtesy email that the deal was over might have been nice...

just my .02

Yes, but dealing with the internet, you will get a lot of flakes. I would not ding them because that is how selling in the internet is.
