Maybe I'm overthinking this...

he cried ROFL
tell him to grow a pair and leave
then ask him to help you move your stuff to your friends house, that will get the waterworks going I bet lol

Good luck and I hope things work out

p.s. what an A.hole about the ring like damn I would expect "cheap" to be like 500 or something, 12.99 shows how much he is taking things seriously

Wow, just wow. You need to get yourself a real man. Someone who will respect you and not treat you like a muppet.

I am sure there are so many men who are much better that you can find and have your pick of. Like your best friend, just be careful with that though. I did that when I was 17 and after 18 months we broke up and we spoke once on the phone as I was going through my technical training in the RAF but not since. About 8 years or so since that last call.

Your man will turn even worse if you go ahead and marry him later down the line. He comes across as seeing you as property and if you marry him I bet he will view it as owning you. He "told" (:thumbsdow) you to clean his room, if thats not a sign of things to come with him then I don't know what is. Then he cried () when you had a little talk with him. What a winner.
That best friend is trouble and don't be surprised to find out he is cheating on you with her seeing as she obviously adores him and how he feels like you neglect him.

Nip this in the bud and get someone who respects you, someone who will do little things for you like put you on his car insurance so you can borrow his car if your is in the shop or take you shopping. It is not a hardship driving you somewhere to pick up pet supplies.

I ve have seen plenty of cheap rings that are very nice... they still cost over $200... and thats cheap imo.

Anywho as for the guy get rid of him. I ve been in a situation before where my ex treated me like crap. I could give you plenty of stories. My friends think I was stupid for staying as long as I did (a smidge over 2 years). My advice... dump him. I found someone who treats me great and I am sure you can too.

Dont let him twist crap on you either.... and try to make you feel bad... next time he tries tell him "good you should feel like crap and a butt hole. and dont try to twist it on me"...

and see, I've had this whole them getting together in the back of my head for 2 years now, he still tries to convince me he only wants me.

I'm gonna let everything everyone has said sink into my brain and figure out what I'm going to do from there.

Unless you have found a guy who thinks you can do no wrong, he's the wrong guy for marriage. Or to put it bluntly- if your s*** stinks and he thinks it smells like roses, marry the guy.

The guy you're with sounds horrible for you. It's much better to be alone than with someone you're unhappy with. You sound pretty alone in the relationship now.

Ooooooooooooh giiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiirl lol Pick up the corner of a rug and sweep him under it. Sometimes the hardest things to do is the right choice. Get yourself a nice fish guy lol. One who helps you pick out a fish.
I still can't get a ring out my boyfriend.... Yet he went with me to the humane society and we adopted my puppy.

I admit, I didn't read the whole thing, but I have read enough. DUMP him, There are tons of way cooler Indy people to hang out with. We even have a club, hint hint, wink wink.
