Mbu or no?

I don't see why a fish that maxes out at under 30" would be uncomfortable in a 48" wide tank? But you say a 20" Fahaka can be comfortable in a 24" wide tank? Do the math... Does that make any sense at all to you?

Ok I dont think I could get another puffer, if its small, my catfish or gar will eat them. Just curious, where does 800 or 1000g come from for a minimum? A huge part is the footprint, what is a comfortable footprint? I think personally 32sq ft is a good amount of area.

It's going to be a lot more comfortable than a 26" fish. That is the only point I was trying to make.

And I meant a tank that has a 24" depth. Like a 180.

people have mbu puffers in 350g that are happy. and to all you people that cry about mbu being in a 1000g our more . you really tick me off and are so lame. HEY I READ SOMETHING AND ITS GOTTA BE TRUE BECAUSE SOMEONE WROTE IT HAHHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAH

Like silver arowanas get to be like 5 feet if not more and ive seen them that big. so they need a 10000g tank . why don't you guys ***** about something like that .

Why don't you just PM pufferpunk and ask her about keeping a mbu in 300 gallons?

I will never understand why people spread around BS like that. The largest recorded size was "only" 47 inches, so I don't get where people are getting that that there are 60+ inchers in captivity.

And even if you somehow did come across that mythical monster aro, a 10,000 gallon would definitely not be the minimum tank size anyway.
