Mbu or no?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ok, and I don't really care.

I'm not the one keeping the MBU, although I do have the means to do so. They are more on the expensive side- which is the ONLY reason I do not own one.

People will do what they want, regardless of how well or unwell they keep their fish unfortunately, and there will ALWAYS be the people like you and others that condone it.

Fish need room to do more than just turn around.. but then again, that's just MY opinion.

It's going to be a lot more comfortable than a 26" fish. That is the only point I was trying to make.

And I meant a tank that has a 24" depth. Like a 180.

Ok, I meant "depth" as well. The OPs tank is 96" long by 48" wide (or deep, as you put it) but you're saying that too small for a mbu. Even if the mbu gets a full 30", that leaves it a full 18" of extra space to turn around in. At the same time, you're saying a Fahaka can be kept in a 24" wide (or deep) 180 gallon, which only gives them a couple inches to turn around in?

Why don't you just PM pufferpunk and ask her about keeping a mbu in 300 gallons?

Some people don't agree with pufferpunk on the subject, despite how knowledgable as she is on puffers (and nice and friendly and helpful, absolutely nothing against her). 8x4x2 is not 300 gallons by the way...

So again, how is an extra 18" not enough room for a fish to turn around in?

K thanks for the input. How do you think he will do with my gar and catfish?

I never said an extra 18" isn't enough room!

Seriously, just because you work in a frikkin pet store...

Stop arguing with me. You obviously don't get my point.

Cramp the mbu for all I care, it's not MY fish! Do what you want.

Everyone has an opinion, and is entitled to it. No one here, including pufferpunk, is qualified to say one method is wrong. Stop arguing. If you have a valid point to add to the discussion, then do so, but these posts are getting too personal.

Lol thanks wyld, didn't mean to start war, I guess this is a highly debated topic.
