So therefore it is not the "fastest land vehicle". Technically and actually are two different things. So until this train is clocked at over mach 1.03 then I dont think it qualifies as the "fastest land vehicle".

But what makes it even more interesting is that there is a concept to let it go through a tube that has a vacuum inside. That way the train drives through vacuum and could reach more than Mach 6. Imagine such a track would be build between Tokyo and San Francisco. You could go from Japan to USA in half an hour.
