Seems a little closed-minded and anti-social...but I enjoy hanging out with friends (not inconvenienced by it) and learning about new things, especially from world experts!
Matt
I am a member of a local astronomical club way back home and a local hiking club here in China. Trust me, I am far from being anti-social. I love going out and doing the stargazing a few hundred miles from home. We even do swimming while skygazing. I am new to fish keeping and happen to be in China when I started. I am a member of a goldfish keeping club here, though. Since I cannot speak Chinese then it would be impossible to interact. In mountain climbing and hiking, there would no need for that. I am simply answering the question as to why maybe only a few of the MFK'ers are indeed members or inactive members of fish clubs. When you have a family, it becomes more difficult to join clubs and do the hobby. I'm single BTW and I will look for a fish keeping club when I get home. Imagine when you can hike, stargaze and hunt for interesting fish in new areas around my city all at the same time!
PS... I've been to a lot of forums and seriously, why are members on this site very harsh and judgemental? Is fish keeping really that frustrating that they need to bash people on the internet?
