My guess is that he had had enough of us arguing with everything he said - whether or not for good reason.

I think that my argument with him about that Giant gourami may have put him off the edge. I'm not against animal welfare, but in the end, it's a glass box, and we are just idiots trying to keep them alive. He would probably freak out when he finds out how clown loaches are bred....
