Any sign of rust on the steel after 12 years use?

I built a 2m deep tank using a metal frame to hold the glass (60mm). Rust prevention was a big factor as rust removal and repair would be a major exercise once the tank was in use. I opted for a 2 part epoxy coating and sacrificial magnesium anodes at each end (2). It's only been 3 years but everything seems good.

I used a 1 part epoxy paint for the frame, so far pretty good ?… i wrapped the 2 metal cross braces with pond liner and also went up over the top frame/lip of the tank with the pond liner also to prevent anything from ever getting wet. The liner was also rubber cemented to the top lip. Rubber cement works extremely well on pond liner and other surfaces when used properly. I do have a tad bit of rust where the 2 metal cross braces were drilled and bolted to the top frame. Nothin to lose sleep over tho lol…i left the braces removable to get the glass in which i probably didnt need to do. Shes held out pretty well so far surprisingly.

Great job so far, kinda like a reinvention of the old style tanks, with the stainless steel frames, using modern materials.
I couldn't agree more.

What an old post. I missed it back in the day...
