There are numerous reason why a post might be edited or deleted. Usually when a MOD does this s/he SHOULD be stating a reason for the poster.

Perhaps you could provide a link to the specific thread you are referencing so that your question can be better answered. Hundred of posts get edited or deleted everyday.

there is no freedom of speech here on mfk. let that be a learned lesson. politics and religion are also off limit topics.

Hope you dont think im jumping on you. You are correct politics and religion are not allowed here on MFK. There are other forums for such discussions. Try and understand that these topics get VERY heated and spill over into the fish forums easily.

I dont want to getinto the specifics and i really cant remember what was edited out. But is was something on one of Gar Kids post and I said he was full of it. I dont even think I used the words BS becuase i didnt want to piss anyone off.

There is no politics or religious threads allowed because it gets heated and flaming ensues. Posts and Threads get deleted because there may be no purpose to having it there. Tell me what's the purpose of someone posting "cool" when someone is selling something in the Buy/Sell Forum or when a Sticky ask for pictures and a bunch of people are putting "cool" or "nice?" Compliments are great, but that's what the photo lounge is for...not Stickies.

i think saying something like cool or very nice in the sell forum is very helpful for buyers and the seller. for one, the "cool" comment bumps the sellers item to the top of the page!!!!! i dont know if you have noticed but mfk has a big classifieds. if you dont have anything posted on your thread it will be lost on page two within a day. and also for a potential buyer these comments let them know that others think whats for sale is very nice and or at a good price. we all like opinions on what we are buying before buying.
