i will say this though

i'm a bit bothered by the fact that mods have posted in here and have done nothing about TS av

sorry in advance TS if they yank your av for my post, i didn't mean to do that

but my point is that my biggest issue here with the modding is consistency. it's not horrible but it's not perfect. i understand no one's perfect but i would think some things should just be more consistent

Again your trolling. I've said all I can say trying to get you to realize our position and get some ideas from you on improving things. It's clear now that's not your goal.
 
^^^ This was my point in my earlier post. I have a few (most i am friends outside here) mods that just don't like me and nit pick every post looking for anything to try and infract me for

It's not a matter of inconsistency, not all mods who can change it may seen it yet. They will though.

There really is nothing to "improve". Li wants the site family-friendly, and you guys are tasked with making sure it stays that way. There will always be members who break the rules (me included). And you will always have people that complain about it. We can talk it out all we want, but there's no point because the rules are still the same.
 
chef, i appreciate your input. i really do. and i know kids are very smart. most dont put it to good use tho. and altho your son might know how to do all that you wouldnt let him build his own tank and buy his own fish and do his own water changes. i thnk most kids over 16 could manage most monsters. but the truth is they buy these fish with good intentions but they dont have a stable enough lifestyle to care for monsters long term. but this really isnt what this thread is about. i feel like its getting pulled into a million dif directions.
my point is that this site is getting too strict over its members. if we want to argue let us argue and call each other names and get it over with, i dont think crude behavior is nesesary or should be tolerated, and nudity and sexual content shouldnt be allowed here. but a simple **** off or **** doesnt need to be followed by a slap on the wrist.
i have seen many people that deserved to be banned and alot that didnt. im just saying maybe stop focusing so much on being "family friendly" and focu more on your members as a whole. young and old.

I agree with this - only I think the consistency is closer to horrible than perfect... After the breast cancer thread, I started looking at avatars more closely, just to see. There are so many that are a lot worse than anything that was posted in that thread - and nothing is done. I don't want to be a tattle tale - it's the internet and you just have to accept that when you open your web browser you will probably see something that is offensive to you. And I can completely understand some people need to be kept in check - they push the boundaries and some of the stuff is highly inappropriate for these forums - but consistency would be nice, or it does appear that some people "get picked on". And this is coming from a person who has never had any kind of infraction or ban.
 
j i agree, but no harm done just talkin it over. n i saw your link. i have never seen that, but it looks rather confusing
