is getting a job considered "hustlin'" now?

Wow....Uh, no. "hustling" could be sewing blankets and selling them on the corner though... Do you know how to use google? Look it up, you sound lost.

You guys are funny. You have your own code of ethics and think someone else should live by those same standards. Then have the nerve to put those down who believe in fair and legal commerce, or "hustlin" for those who don't know what it is. I've only personally met a few people on this website. I've even bought bought items from some of them. Tho i never resold them, if did thats my perogative. You want to talk about IQ, why don't you learn the definition of MARKET.

Greed, there you go judgin again.

Some people do not have the IQ to realize that, forgive them

it ain't about that. it's whether reselling something a buddy gave you a deal on for more $$$ is okay or not ;)

Friend: "Spizz can I buy your $2.00 item"?
Spizz: "Sure make me an offer"
Friend: "$10.00 sound good"?
Spizz: "No thanks offer is too high, I only payed $2.00"...
Friend: "Maybe next time"....

Does that sound OK? lol

no but hows this sound... 50 gallon for sale paid 250 new, going out on a limb and selling for 20 to fellow mfkers figure someone could get better use from it

pm.. thanks i needed the tank

buyer now on clist... 50 gallon for 120

now you tell me thats not making money from kindness....

In a perfect world that would be ideal but I highly doubt many of M'keeprs have an "Amish" style of business. This site is a growing organization and anyone can join. Its an eceletic mix of different cultures and beliefs and unless the mods regulate certain rules, you can't just expect everyone to have same core values.

What you may see as an act of kindness, others may see as an assertion of control.

It is, but is that wrong? Or anyones bizz but the seller and buyer? If I make an offer, it is to gain what I want. It does not matter how much was paid originally. My offer reflects my want for said product.

There is nothing wrong with fair and legal commerce but I don't treat friendships as business ventures. I understand there are a large number of members here but I see this place as a larger version of a fish club/society. There is a certain amount of generosity that usually exits with any type of community. Buying something under the guise that you need it and will use it takes advantage of that. If exploiting someone generosity is within your ethical code then that's with you.

If I buy something from a member to make a profit I could be taking it away from someone that has a genuine need for it and appreciates the discount. I take enough from this community is all the knowledge I've gained, I don't need to make a few bucks on top of it.
