thats why i have learned not to buy midas because of the nice black coloring morph since it seems to fade, but that fish is still amazing, its shape is great

Usually when you find them still with the black colorings that usually means they're still paling/fading. Some WC fishes do retain their black colors for a long time though.

Fishes from both the Midas and RD family can change colors at almost any phase in their life.

I'm not a big fan of RD/Midas, but those fish are gorgeous!

Thanks

I personally love fishes from the Midas and RD family. You never really find two with the same colors/patterns:drool:

Don't think I have ever been without a Midas since first keeping them almost a decade ago.

HOLY T*Ts.

breed them.

10" give or take on the male, female around 5"

They're father and daughter so breeding the two together is out of the question. I do have the WC male that I'am considering breeding her with.

very nice, even if your midas loses all his black he's still a beauty

Thanks

It does sucks that he lost his black colorings but his colors are pretty much as I always wanted now, colored body with red face.

Just the way I like Midas.....Chunky and mean (kinda like my chicks)

I have cut down on the amount of Massivore Delite I feed so he's not as chunky as before but he's still up there.:D
