Very nice thank you!
What kind of lighting do you use? I like the spotlight effect you have going on. Tank looks great man
My 8 month old Midas is on his own. He’s around 7 inches but I wouldn’t give my 12 inch Oscar who is at least six times his weight two hours in a tank with the Midas. I would even fear for my 15 8nch jag. Crazy aggressive. Homicidal in fact. Even at 5 inch I wouldn’t have done it. If you try watch it closely if you care for the other fish... but others with experience would have better opinions. It depends on how big your tank is and how aggressive the Midas turns out to be.
Best possibility is grow them out together young in a large tank and hope for the best as I'm doing.
However This is the first time I'm trying this so maybe other members have experience that can shed more light.
How's your Midas with other cichlids?
I have been thinking of getting a Finnex 24/7 light myself. That or the Fluval Freshwater Planted. Do you get good plant growth from the Finnex? It's called finnex 24-7 planted. As the name implies, it's great for planted tanks as it stays on 24-7 cycling through natural lighting patterns.
I have two 48" however only use one in the center of the tank to create the spotlight effect.
