Midnight Visitor BUSTED!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I may not have shot it but I definitely would have shot near it......probably about 100 rounds or so in quick succession....maybe more....

how many times would it allow that to happen before moving on?

"say ello to mah little frein'.........now DANCE KITTY,DANCE!!!"

I laughed at the pitbull statement but those other mastiffs maybe. If they really do take down actual African lions a cougar would be no problem, thats just common sense...... but Ive never seen them in action.;)

you think you could feed it and get it to chill out? I know you feed a house cat and they fall asleep in minutes.

technicly.... no.

we've been evolving just as long as they have. just because they got left behind and stuck with four legs and and big teeth while we got larger brains and pocible thumbs. doesnt mean where not allowed to migrate. Animals migrate... we just do it 10 times better.

I believe everyone is entitled to their opinion, but perhaps if we are the "greater species" then do we act responsibly when we directly impact the habitat of these animals in a devastating manner? Do we not owe it to them to keep them safe and provide places like this to sustain a species? Humans have bred and evolved at a rate impossible to accomodate the necessary genetic changes for biodiversity, Evolutionary Biography and speciation.

This world works when everything is in harmony, it's already too late, the scales have been tipped, global warming is destroying the beautiful balance with nature, as is overpopulation, when does it stop?

This picture has in one morning has triggered so many responses to my emails, more than I've ever recieved. It's because it's so rare to see such an incredible animal. I just stare at the pics of her, she is so magnificent, a ferocious survivalist, every part of her body is perfect. 100 years from now they won't be here. They will only live in memories and legends. I feel like I was given an honor last night and I will protect her, defend her and respect her.

The picture doesn't capture the take your breath away response to really see one in the wild (or trying to come in the front door!)Look at the fear and desparation in her face, humans caused that. She totally had me one night, I had taken away her still alive kill and was trying to wrap it in my coat and save it,not realizing she had circled back and climbed the tree I was under until the tree started growling at me. heh heh I love my growling tree. She was pretty mad at me, I'm pretty glad she didn't pounce! She outweighs me
and I never would have had a chance.

Peace out-Mei;)

Ok Ok I'm trying to answer everyone here! Acer, we see eye to eye, umm userid too long to remember, pretty good dog joke.Yes, I have shot to scare it off to save livestock, full clip of a .45 many times, and my 12 g shotgun, the cat doesn't give a rats a** and one night when I racked my last shell onto the ground and was feeling all over for it in the dark and a darn coyote was hiding at the edge of the orchard and he started laughing at me and puppy woofing cause I couldn't find my shell, ooohhhh I was mad. It was a wild animal brewhaha, they nailed 12 Guineas in a matter of minutes.....

The sniper rifle is a really nasty scoper and pretty heavy for me, and getting scoped between the eyes REALLY hurts! oops! I did it again! This gun is only good for a rewarding buck with a great rack! But it sure looks BAADDD.

Feed it? Yeah well it sort of helped itself to the smoker and a quarter of deer so it just comes back for more!!!!

Location: Washington State, North Cascade Mtns.

Mastiffs are gorgeous, I imagine you're right if there were more than one, but I hope to never see that, I would cry my eyes out. Really never knew they took down lions, thanks for the info. Crazy!

Sorry he wouldn't have made it off the porch, not with out some holes in him...

Wow, thank you so much for posting the picture. I live in idaho but i haven't seen one of these guys yet, thank god.

Keep safe, as much as it is a great threat, what a beautiful animal.

they are here in cali, love them but my girlsfreinds freind was attacked by a starving one and it was skin and bones lookin for a meal.that was several years ago and she still has face surgery. They had to kill it but she does not want others killed.Me.I think they are beutifull, but you do need to be carefull. And as far as teritory, you build a house in a place where their was none and lots of wildlife then you made that choice to share, not to kill off and dominate.Fabulouse pic,so lucky.
