Yeah right. Any dog sees a cat that big, it would probably die of shock first.

This picture has in one morning has triggered so many responses to my emails, more than I've ever recieved. It's because it's so rare to see such an incredible animal. I just stare at the pics of her, she is so magnificent, a ferocious survivalist, every part of her body is perfect. 100 years from now they won't be here. They will only live in memories and legends. I feel like I was given an honor last night and I will protect her, defend her and respect her.
)

you're my friend. :D

I'm going to sound nuts here, but my aunt had a baby mountain lion cub, and kept her until she died 16 years later, she was actually a very nice kitty. But I know how powerful and strong she was, I certainly wouldn't want a wild one on my porch!

Thanks you guys, I'm really glad there are more people with the same feeling I have. I am lucky, the problem with pics is this stuff happens at night usually and with about 8.5 hrs of sunlight, that's a lot of opportunities missed!

It's alot like Northwestern Montana here-Whitefish may get a little more snow

I just learned today that a cougar eats 90 deer a year. Now I now why the herd is gone. No feed, bad winter, they get weak, and they get eaten.
This is what pisses of Miss Cougar. We are competing with her for the same deer to feed on! No wonder she wants to eat us!

They're legal here, in Montana Too.

I wouldn't cage a wild one, but I'd raise and protect a sick or ophaned one to give it a life at least, would build a 2-3 acre zoo fence and keep it and people safe. Bobcats are now popular too, and "Pixie Bobs", male Bobcat bred w/ female felis domesticus (kitty cat)
