Yeah, I know all about it.. However, they do have off-line systems that could be installed such as Stingray Pools, Hard-Water, or Soft-Water.. Only if corporate would pull the stick out. I will definately work on it.
BTW, The systems usually are on automatic drip systems, so the water parameters are that of the tap water.. and it is often preached, even on MFK, to allow your fish to adapt to your water parameters. Sometimes 'hardcore' hobbyist have a hard time changing their ways and see it fit to re-create ideal conditions by messing with water parameters.. But, with some species it is necessary.
Also keep in mind more and more rare fish are being captive bred over in Asia, and being brought into the states. This creates more adaptable fish and eventually rarer fish will be easier to keep. (ie: Discus)
