If a 120 is good for an asian arrow which max out at around 2 foot then it would be ok for a jar correct? I am just wondering what would be the minimum for a jar . Could you keep one in a standard 125 also? I am just curios. Thanks

Chad
i take back my response!!!!

120 is too small for ANY arowana!!!!!!!!!!!

OK I was just clearing it up. I wouldn't put a 2 foot fish in a 4 foot tank anyways. Not too much room to swim.

*sigh*

yes

but can you aim a wee bit higher? like a 150 or 180?

ofcourse bigger would be better, pretty elementary. but if youve only got the minimum tank, compensate with more water changes. small tank, more work. large tank, less maintainance.

im getting a 147g tank, a 59x2x2 (cos of the wall in the way) thanks guys

IMO the minimus size for any fish is 2.5 times the length of the fish by 1.5 times the lenght of the fish and about 2 feet deep. then for a 2 foot fish thats a 60inx36inx34in. that way they can swim in the middle of the tank without much dificulty. just MHO

What is the minimum tank size that an green asian arow can live in happily? im guessing it would be an 7x4x3? maybe a little bigger?

This tank size is great even if you wanna have more other tankmates with it.;)
