losing 3 in a row doesn't always constitute a cut. and now zuffa owns sf, that couldn't be more true
fedor will always be relevant wether you believe it or not. but as far as where he's at in his career, he should retire. if he continues to fight, i think they should give him a break and feed him a can or two so that he can go out with some wins. stop giving him top 5 competition
here's my thought on the fight, i thought it was great how they both came out swinging, that's just the way they both are. fedor just isn't the kind of guy that takes his time. he isn't as fast and accurate and strong as he once was to compensate for being so wild. he should have maintained top control first before going for the kill when he dropped dan and appeared to have him in trouble.
it was a nice clean first shot that Dan landed at the end but I'm surprized the commentators didn't comment on the 2 shots to the back of the head. I dont' wanna take anything away from dan, but once the right hand landed and fedor dropped, the next two shots was directly to the back of fedor's head. i was a bit on the fence with the stoppage. i thought fedor was done when he went limp for a split second there but when he was able to turn around and seemed to be protecting himself i felt he could've continued. but he may have been stopped regardless
it's sad to see my two all time fav fighters get dominated like this (fedor and gomi), but this is the tale of all great champions
Good call. I think Fedor's main problem lately has been his training. You see alot of these guys now staying with 1 camp but still going out to train and spare with multiple coaches and and ssparing partners. When you do this you gain alot more knowledge. Fedor tossing cans around in his camp just doesn't work anymore.

yea but not everyone can continue at that level
just because randy and dan can do it longer, doesn't mean everyone can do the same. look and wand and nog bros, chuck and tito. they just can't do it, only unique specimens like randy and dan can do that

I was really stoked that Meisha Tate won. That was a slic arm triangle man. I didn't even see her set it up watching it live. I didn't see it until the replay. To submit a jiu jitsu specialist is always a great accomplishment. I thought she went for the mount to do some ground and pound. Marloes saw it and recognized what Meisha was doing but she couldn't stop it. She should've tried harder to avoid getting mounted with more urgency when she saw Meisha setting up the arm triangle.
It was a great fight. I felt that as the fight went on, Marloes was more fresh and still had snap to her punches and Meisha was getting tired. Seemed like Marloes may have been able to knock her out if she had used her kicks and jabs more to set up a bomb.
I think that Meisha needs to work on her cardio a little bit more. I think Sarah is stronger, has better striking and her cardio is better than Meisha's. I think Meisha will be the underdog. but as far as looks go, meisha's hotter, lol

I thought Hendo was finished once Fedor got him down but in the blink of an eye he had the tables turned.....The stoppage seemed premature at first but who's to say Fedor would have been able to survive those blows?
i saw a clip of the finish from another angle that wasn't shown on tv. right after herb stopped it, fedor got up right away but was wobbly. he was definitely hurt but i would've liked to see if fedor would've been able to recover if herb hadn't jumped in.
i'm ok with the stoppage i guess after closer review, and if herb hadn't stepped in, it may or may not have not changed the outcome. but i am a little surprized that the two illegal blows has not been brought up or didn't make it more contraversial
