The stoppage was justified. You can't expect someone to see you like this

and then this after 1 punch:

Then this after a few more:

and expect the fight to keep going. I was shocked, but I think it was a good call. if you look at Fedor, he is face down, arms folded under him, and he's out. Even if it's a momentary KO, it's important to protect the fighters. Some comparisons have been made to the Lesnar Carwin fight, but I think Lesnar always moved when he was told it was about to be stopped, and he was never unconscious.
I think Fedor was a great fighter, but very much a product of soft competition and even softer matchmaking. Aside from Nog, who on that list was any good, or in cro cop's case stood a chance against the ground game? Randleman? Mark Hunt? Hong Man Choi? Tim Sylvia? Gary Goodrich? I always wanted to see Fedor sign with the UFC and really dominate over their heavyweights, bu he never did... and it became obvious that his management was doing the ducking for him. They didn't want him to fight against the best fighters in the world. They were happy being a big fish in a medium pond. How can you say he's relevant if you think he should hang it up?
