that was not the mayhem i was used to seeing. everything was telegraphed and bisping can see it coming. and i've never seen him gas this early on. i predicted a win from bisping either way but i was surprized how fast mayhem gassed.
I'm glad both guys were classy afterwards. props to both of them for that.

great card though man, all pretty damn good fights. diego vs denis was crazy!

dang, i like both guys. a part of me wants machida to win because i've been a fan of his longer,....... way back when he beat franklin i been following him. i also would like to see him at the top again.

but a part of me wants jones to win because i'd like to see him dominate and own the division so he can move to heavyweight. i think he has the frame to do it and he won't have to cut any weight. he can be a small heavyweight in terms of weight and have a speed advantage. i think he's got the skills to hang with them up there. would be some potentially great matchups for him at heavyweight but i don't see a move until at least a couple of years. he's young so there's no rush
 
my prediction, being unbiased,........... jones wins this by decision or ko/tko

i see machida being himself. elusive, guage the distance, get in and out of range and pick his shots. try for some trips and take downs. but i think jones will control the pace and the striking with machinda doing a lot of peddling. i think the stand up will be interesting and jones will get some take downs, ground n pound and score a knock out or take the unanimous decision either 3-2 or 4-1
 
imo, machida can be as elusive as he wants, but bones and his reach advantage will still get through to him. I think bones will press the action and probably do some clinch work to negate his elusiveness. I can't see Machida winning this fight.


I'm so excited for Phil's step up in competition and very disappointed that Eliot Marshall got cut after a very controversial loss.
 
Jones will dominate Machida.

I love Lyoto, but being a uber "matchup" guy, this fight just screams mismatch to me.
Machida's counter style normally works against aggressive guys, but guys that are quicker than he is, and probably stronger, totally stifle his counter game.
Jones will press him, and the length will be the deciding factor. Even if Machida can get his counter off, he may not be able to reach Jones in time.

Jones by TKO. Could be ugly.

FX has another show for Jan.20th.....I don't have a line up yet but they are saying that this one will not be a one match show.
